Imitation steel fiber, that is, polypropylene crude fiber, is a substitute product developed for steel fiber, while taking into account some characteristics of synthetic fiber. Compared with steel fiber, it has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, easy dispersion, easy construction, and no damage to mixing equipment. The product is made of synthetic resin as the main raw material and processed through special technology and surface treatment. It has the advantages of high breaking strength, good dispersion in concrete, and strong grip. It replaces steel fiber for cement concrete, overcomes the characteristics of low tensile strength, low ultimate elongation, and brittleness of concrete, and has tensile, shear, crack resistance, fatigue resistance, and high toughness.

Instructions for use:

Dosage:

It is recommended that the volume dosage of crack-resistant imitation steel fiber be 0.3%-0.9%, that is, the dosage of concrete per cubic meter is 3kg-9kg.

Length options:

Generally, it is 30mm-50mm when anti-cracking is reinforced; it is 20mm-30mm when it is added to shotcrete.

Matching design:

For general applications, it is not necessary to change the grade ratio parameters of concrete. You can refer to “Steel Fiber Concrete Structure and Construction Code” CECS38:92. Special applications need to be selected and designed through experiments. Considering that concrete will cause micro cracks due to factors such as shrinkage, dry shrinkage and temperature changes, you can add 1kg of monofilament microfibers to the concrete for better results.

Blender options:

It is recommended to use a double-shaft horizontal forced mixer.

Feeding and mixing process:

Put in crushed stone first, then put in imitation steel fiber, then put in sand and stir to make the imitation steel fiber fully dispersed, then put in cement and water and stir evenly according to the conventional process. It can also be constructed according to the sequence of conventional process input, but the mixing and stirring time should be extended appropriately to make the imitation steel fiber disperse evenly.

Forming maintenance process:

If there is no special requirement, the vibrating time can be extended as appropriate. When plastering the surface, the concrete surface should be slightly passivated before proceeding to avoid it being carried out. The maintenance should still be carried out according to the requirements of ordinary concrete.
